OCTOBER '16 VISIT TO HOSPICE

Ms. Jagoda has recently been to a children's hospice (Pomorskie Hospicjum dla Dzieci) and asked if you wanted to chip in with things most needed. And you did!
Thank you so much! We hope that the generosity you have shown will continue and, together, we will be able to put smiles on even more faces of those in need. Once again, thank you.

Save the hospice charity event

In January 2016 our school supported a charity event "Save the Hospice". It was a wonderful cause. We received a lovely thank you letter.

CHARITY PERFORMANCE IN GALERIA BAŁTYCKA

British International School Gdańsk for the third time supported the charity event called "Gwiazdy Malują Gwiazdy" in Galeria Bałtycka on December 5th. The aim of this event is to raise money for the Hospice Foundation in Gdańsk. Our students presented three amazing Christmas flash mobs in English. Well done!

CHARITY DRIVE "mOVEMBER"

Traditionally, in November, BISG runs Movember (from moustache and November). This charity drive is organised to raise money for the school at Pediatric Oncology Ward in Gdańsk. Our teachers and fathers of our students grow moustaches and women paint them on their fingernails to encourage the generosity of other participants of this event. On Friday (November 27th), we had a summary of the whole action. For this day, our students left their school uniforms at home to appear at school in their special "moustachy" outfits.  Involvement in the Movember charity drive by both the students and their parents exceeded our expectations. Such charity events are organised in our school to teach our students that we should help people in need.

RAISING MONEY FOR LENKA

Thank you so much to Dawid, Eveliina and Anastasiia (class 6 students) for their work that they did in order to raise money for sick Lenka. The efforts they made were very commendable and the results were amazing. We received a thank-you letter from Lenka's father.

CIVICS PROJECT HELPING ANIMALS

Classes 4-8 received a lovely thank-you letter from the Animal Protection Society "Animals" for their help. Students organised it on their own as part of the Civics project coordinated by their teacher Anna Pilichowska.

MOVEMBER

During the month of November our school ran MOVEMBER - a charity drive to raise money for the Children’s Oncological Ward in UCK Gdańsk and the school attached to it. Wonderful moustaches appeared on the faces of Robert Grisdale (Headmaster), Alejandro Domenech Moral (Spanish and PE teacher), Robert Hoare (class 0/1 teacher) and Frank Coleman (PTA) .  We raised 1028 PLN, a router, toys and board games. This is what we bought for the children:
